Non-CAP Airplane Involved in Crash Earlier Today 7/14 in Michigan

Civil Air Patrol Encampment received news of a crash of a small plane in Mackinaw County earlier this morning. GLR-N encampment wants everyone to know that aircraft involved was NOT one of our planes and involved NO CAP members or operations.

While Encampment is and has been flying missions during encampment, we are NOT flying in the area of the crash.

Everyone at Encampment and at CAP Michigan Wing heard quarters offer our condolences to the families of those involved in the incident up north.

Again NO CAP Planes were involved in the incident this morning.

For additional information reguarding Encampment an operations here, we will continually check on the situation as it develops and will post information  on our website.  encampment.miwg.cap.gov or on our encampment FaceBook page Great Lakes Region North & MIWG Encampment.

 Thank you
